Google Latitude: Where are Your Friends?

Wednesday, 4 February 2009

Where are all my friends?

Well, now I know with Google Latitude!

This cool application uses Mobile phones with GPS to detect you and your friends location and updates it. Perfect for seeing if any buddies are around to meet up for a quick half!

I installed it on my Nokia E71 earlier and it works like a dream. Now I just need to add my best buddies who will not mind being stalked.

More info on the offical google blog.

Nokia 6210 Navigator Arrives on Vodafone

Sunday, 27 July 2008

The Nokia 6210 Navigator mobile phone is out now on Vodafone. This is an exclusive handset to Vodafone and as you can guess by the name has many navigational features.

Top Features of the Nokia 6210 Navigator
* Exclusive to Vodafone
* GPS navigation and built-in compass
* 3.2 megapixel camera with panorama feature, LED flash and 4x digital zoom
* 2.4" high-resolution screen
* 3.5G internet connection at speeds up to 7.2Mbps
* MP3 player and FM stereo radio

Exclusive to Vodafone, the Nokia 6210 Navigator is the world's first mobile phone to combine GPS navigation with a built-in compass. It's a genius feature that helps you orientate yourself and find your way easily - on foot and in the car.

At the heart of a big city or on a country walk, the Nokia 6210 Navigator uses GPS to show your location on a street map. You can also change the Navigator's display mode to see an aerial view of the buildings and landmarks around you, with all the street names featured on the satellite image.

As you turn the Navigator, the map you're looking at turns too, so it's always pointing in the right direction. Enter your destination and the Nokia 6210 Navigator plots the fastest route, giving you turn-by-turn directions and voice prompts as you walk or drive.

Maps and websites are displayed in crystal-clear detail on the Nokia 6210 Navigator's 2.4? high-resolution screen. And when you spot a photo opportunity on your travels, you can take high quality pictures and videos using the Navigator's 3.2 megapixel camera with its special panorama feature, integrated flash and digital zoom.

With a super-fast 3.5G connection to the web, the Nokia 6210 Navigator lets you browse the internet and download music and videos at speeds up to 7.2Mbps. You can also listen to music on the Navigator's MP3 player. Or let a DJ choose the tracks by tuning in to the Navigator's FM stereo radio.
